From the outset, Jo has always provided enjoyable engaging sessions to support my daughter’s literacy needs (which she always looks forward to!). What has stood out for me as a parent is Jo’s professional, conscientious and empathetic nature. She regularly communicates progress and strategies used to support her independent learning going forward. It’s been wonderful to see my daughter’s confidence in her literacy work blossom in the time that she has been with Jo.

Jo has been instrumental in our journey with dyslexia over the last two years. Her calm, kind and professional manner put our son at ease immediately. Jo ensured she got to know our son, his interests and how best to approach learning with him. She has extensive knowledge in her field, and this is evident in her approach and teaching. We have seen a huge improvement in his ability to engage with phonics, literacy and working memory skills, and most importantly his confidence in doing so. Jo ensures we are kept up to date with in-depth feedback on progress made and areas she has and will be focusing on. Jo’s tutoring has been invaluable and I cannot recommend her enough.

My daughter Molly has been having 1:1 sessions with Jo since May 2021 when she was in year 4 to date. The support and guidance that Jo has provided Molly has been invaluable. Jo has given Molly the tools and most importantly the confidence to navigate her dyslexia and overcome challenges. Since 1:1 tutoring with Jo; Molly’s teachers have noticed a marked improvement in her confidence in the classroom, her ability to problem solve and contribute in class. Jo is fantastic at ensuring the sessions are enjoyable and Molly is always excited and happy to attend.

I know Jo’s support helped Molly do much better in her year 6 SATS than expected but what is far more important to me is that Molly now has belief in herself, an enjoyment for learning and a really positive attitude to school.
